The wonderful nature of Abruzzo offers a lot of possibilities for beautiful hikes. The various nature parks contain a wide range of flora and fauna. You can enjoy the flowers and plants, but you can also spot wild boars, deer, wolves and eagles. In exceptional occasions you can even find the endangered brown bear.

Abruzzo is suitable for being discovered by (mountain) bike. You need to have a good physical condition, considering the hilly landscape. Along the coast are routes for normal bikes. In the mountains are special mountain bike tours available, but you can also discover the area by yourself.

Close to the city Chieti are two golf courses, where you can swing a bat.
